My InPost shipment at another point: relocation, closed point or error

Apr 6, 2026

You have sent a parcel and, without asking, the delivery has changed: it appears at another InPost point, the Point Pack or Locker is closed, or tracking shows it has been delivered to another address. In this guide, we explain what to do, depending on your case, to resolve it quickly and easily.

Quick summary

If your shipment has changed destination, the first thing to do is check tracking to see where it is right now and what the latest status is. In many cases, this is an automatic relocation due to lack of capacity or an issue with the point (such as it being closed), and the parcel is still available for pickup. If something doesn’t add up or the shipment shows as delivered and you don’t have it, fill out our form with the tracking number and we will review your case.

What do you need before you start?

  • Tracking number
  • Access to the email or SMS associated with the shipment
  • InPost Iberia app (optional)
  • InPost point shown in the shipment tracking

What to do according to your case?

  • If your shipment has been deposited at another InPost point: check the shipment tracking to see the new Point Pack or Locker and check the opening hours before going. It will usually be a point near the one you chose.
  • If your Point Pack or Locker is closed: check whether the shipment is still assigned to that point or whether it has been relocated to another one.
  • If tracking shows “Delivered,” but you don’t have it: check the shipment tracking and if you can’t find your parcel fill out our form.

Why has my shipment been deposited at another InPost point?

This can happen even if another point was selected. It is usually due to an operational adjustment: the chosen point is full or closed, has an issue, or cannot accept more parcels at that time.

What to do

  1. Go to the shipment tracking and confirm the exact point where it was deposited.
  2. Check the opening hours of the new Point Pack or Locker before going.
  3. If the new point doesn’t work for you or you can’t pick it up, fill out our form and tell us about your case.

My Point Pack or Locker is closed. Where will my parcel be delivered?

This can happen if the point is inside a venue with opening hours (for example, a shopping center) or if there is a temporary issue. In some cases, the parcel waits until the point is operational again. In others, it may be relocated to a nearby point.

What to do

  1. Check tracking to see whether the parcel is still assigned to the same point or whether it has changed.
  2. If it is closed due to opening hours, try going during opening times.
  3. If the shipment appears as available, but you cannot access the point to pick it up, fill out our form and tell us about your case.

My shipment has been delivered to another address

Before opening an incident, it is worth doing a quick check: sometimes “Delivered” is confused with “Available for pickup,” or the shipment has been received/picked up by an authorized person.

Quick checklist

  1. Check whether the shipment was for pickup and is actually “Available in Locker or Point Pack.”
  2. Check whether it has been received or picked up by an authorized person.
  3. If it still shows as “Delivered” and you don’t have it, fill out our form as soon as possible and include the tracking number. We will tell you the next step according to your case.

Common mistakes

  • “They changed my point and I don’t know which one it is”: check the shipment tracking; the updated Point Pack or Locker appears there.
  • “My Point Pack/Locker is closed and I can’t pick it up”: check whether it is inside a venue with opening hours and see whether the shipment has been relocated to another point.
  • “The Locker doesn’t work” (screen off or unresponsive): fill out the form indicating the tracking number.
  • “It shows as delivered, but I don’t have it”: check whether it is actually “Available for pickup” or whether it has been received by an authorized person.
  • “Tracking isn’t moving”: sometimes it updates in batches. Check the date of the last movement and check again later.

Contact us only if…

  • The shipment has been relocated to a point you cannot use and you do not see an alternative in tracking.
  • Your Point Pack or Locker appears as available, but it is closed or you cannot access it.
  • Tracking shows delivered and you have not received the parcel.
