I don't have the InPost pickup code or PIN: where to find it and what to do
Jun 3, 2026

You arrive at the Locker or Punto Pack fully intending to pick up your parcel, but there’s one small detail: you can’t find the code. Don’t worry, there are several checks you can make.
In this guide we explain where to find the InPost pickup code or PIN, what the different notices you receive mean, and what to check if the code doesn’t appear or doesn’t work.
Quick summary
To collect a parcel from an InPost Locker you need the 6-digit PIN code received by email and/or SMS. If you can’t find it, first check your messages, email, spam, the App, or shipment tracking. If the parcel is at a Punto Pack, follow the instructions you received and present any documentation the store asks for.
What the InPost pickup code or PIN is
The pickup code or PIN is the key that verifies you are the authorized person to collect the parcel. In the case of Lockers, a 6-digit PIN is usually used, received by email and/or SMS. When you enter it on the Locker screen, the compartment containing your parcel opens.
At Punto Packs, the process may vary depending on the type of shipment. In some cases, it will be enough to follow the instructions received and validate the delivery with the staff at the point.
Where you can find the pickup code
- In the arrival notification email for the parcel.
- In the SMS received when the parcel is available.
- In the App or tracking area, if the shipment is linked to your account or order.
- In the store or marketplace platform where you made the purchase.
- In mobile notifications, if you have alerts enabled.
What to check if you don't have the code
- Check that the parcel already appears as available for pickup. If it is still in transit, the code may not be active yet.
- Check the SMS and email associated with the order. Also look in spam, promotions, and junk mail.
- Search for “InPost”, “code”, “PIN”, “Locker” or the store name.
- Make sure the phone number and email provided when buying or creating the shipment are correct.
- If you bought from an online store, log in to your account and check the order details.
- If you still can’t find it, check tracking with the shipment number and destination postal code.
Code, PIN, QR and tracking number: they are not the same
| Elemento | Para qué sirve | Cuándo lo usas |
|---|---|---|
What to do if the code doesn't work at the Locker
If you are in front of the Locker and the code doesn't work, first check that you are selecting the correct option on screen. Enter the full PIN without spaces, and make sure it corresponds to the shipment you want to collect.
- Verify that you are at the correct Locker.
- Check that the parcel is still within the pickup period.
- See if you received a new notice with another code or assigned point.
- If the Locker doesn't respond or doesn't open, contact customer service with the tracking number.
What to do if you are at a Punto Pack
At a Punto Pack, follow the instructions received in the arrival notice. The store may ask for identification or delivery validation, depending on the type of shipment. If you don't have the code or the correct information doesn't appear, don't force the pickup: check the tracking and contact us so we can help you.
When to contact customer service
Contact us if the parcel appears available but you haven't received a code, if the PIN doesn't open the Locker, if the indicated point doesn't match the notice, or if the tracking shows a status you don't understand. Have the tracking number, the associated email or phone number, and the point where you are trying to collect it ready.
