Do you need to create an InPost account? Or do you already have one and want to change some details, review a payment or download an invoice? In this guide we tell you what to do step by step, depending on your case: account creation, changes to email and account details, payments and top-ups, rates, invoices (view or download) and account closure.
What to do depending on your case
- Create your InPost account: go to “Create an account”, choose Individual or Business and complete the information.
- Change your address: go to My profile > My billing address and edit it using the pencil icon.
- Recover password: from the home screen, click “Forgot your password?” and check your email, including the spam folder.
- Payments and top-ups: if you use a prepaid account, you can top up with card (Visa/Mastercard) or PayPal. If a payment fails, check that the method is active and that your bank has not blocked the transaction.
- Check rates: review the current rates and have the parcel weight and dimensions to hand to calculate the price more accurately.
- View or download invoices: go to My profile > My orders and look for your invoices.
- Close the account: review the closure process from your account, My profile > My connection settings, or from the app, Account > Settings.

If you don't receive the email:
- Check the spam or promotions folder.

- Wait a few minutes and try again.
- If you have several email accounts, try the one you usually use for online purchases.
4) Problems with payment methods and top-ups
If the payment or top-up is not completed, it is usually due to one of these reasons: expired or invalid payment method, incorrectly entered details or a preventive bank block.
Quick checklist:
- Check that your payment method is valid, for example, that your card has not expired.
- Make sure the details are up to date.
- If the payment fails, check whether your bank has flagged the transaction as suspicious.
- If you use a prepaid account, check your balance before paying or topping up.
Top-ups:
- You can top up with a Visa/MasterCard card or with PayPal.
Common issues:
- Payment declined: try another method and check your bank's online purchase limits or permissions.
- Error during confirmation: repeat the process from the beginning and avoid repeated attempts in quick succession.
- Questions about top-ups: check your profile (prepaid account / balance) to confirm whether the amount has been applied.
5) Rates
If you want to check prices, it is most useful to have specific details in advance. For shipments, the main factors affecting the price are usually the shipping type and weight.
Details that affect the price:
- Destination country of the shipment.
- Parcel weight.
- Delivery method: home delivery, Punto Pack or Locker
- Approximate parcel dimensions.
- Additional insurance.
6) View or download invoices
From your InPost account you can access your invoices in just a few steps.
Quick steps
- Access your account.
- Go to My profile > My orders.
- Locate the period or the payment.
- Download the invoice and keep a copy.
Common errors:
- Searching for the invoice in a different account from the one that made the payment.
- Filtering the dates incorrectly and thinking it “doesn't exist”.
- Confusing proof of payment with an invoice.
7) Close account
Closing the account is a simple process, but it is advisable to do it in an orderly way: check that you have no pending actions and save your invoices before requesting closure, since once the account is closed, you will no longer be able to access them.
Quick checklist:
- Check that you have no ongoing matters.
- Download any invoices you may need.
- Make sure you have access to the associated email.
How to close the account:
- On the website: log in and go to My profile > My connection settings > Delete my account.
- In the app: Account > Settings > Delete my customer account.
When should you contact support?
Contact support if any of these cases occur:
- You cannot regain access because the reset email does not arrive after several checks (spam, correct email, retries).
- The payment has been charged, but it does not appear in the history after a reasonable amount of time.
- You need an invoice and it does not appear, appears incomplete or you cannot download it.
- You try to close the account and the process gives an error or the option does not appear.
